Helping seniors stay independent!

Our various services are designed to advocate, assist and promote the well-being and independence of seniors in Shiawassee County.

KISS PROGRAM

Our newest service available to assist our seniors is the KISS Program.  Keeping Independent Seniors Safe (KISS) is a program sponsored by the VAAA, and funded inpart by grants from the United Way.

KISS is a free telephone reassurance program for adults 62 years of age or older who live independently and want to feel safer and more secure.  No one likes to think of the consequences if someone should fall and not be able to contact anyone; or worse yet, not be found for a few days.  The KISS program, staffed by volunteers, helps eliminate some of these fears and dangers that living independently can bring with it.
